Australia only allows a used vehicle to be imported and registered if it fits one of a small number of approved routes under the Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018. We identify the right one for your vehicle before you buy — never after.

Specialist & Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme SEVS
For eligible models never sold new in Australia. The vehicle must appear on the official approved register, and compliance modifications are carried out by a Registered Automotive Workshop before it can be registered.

25-Year Rule RAV ENTRY
Vehicles built 25 or more years ago can generally be imported without needing to be on the SEVS register, though they still need a state roadworthy inspection before registration.

Personal Import Scheme PERSONAL
For vehicles genuinely owned and used overseas for 12 months or more before the owner relocates to Australia.
Not every vehicle or grade qualifies under every pathway — eligibility depends on the exact model, variant and build date. We check this for your specific vehicle before you commit to a purchase, and we won't proceed with an import we can't legally register in NSW.
